Is this the Modern Warfare 3 Box Art ?

Possibly MW3 box art?
For a while now Modern Warfare 3 has been surround by rumour and speculation on whether it would even release this year considering the implosion of Infinity Ward last year.
Within a recent Playstation Magazine there was an add which featured a green three with something along the lines of ‘the biggest game in the world is back’. It seems obvious it would be Modern Warfare 3 considering E3 is just around the corner.

Upon this new information a logo and a box art has been leaked, these could just be coincidence or a fake but both sets of images look genuine and follow in the footsteps of the previous games. We have seen a Call of Duty game each year without fail, it seems likely 2011 will be Modern Warfare 3. As for the box art and logo they could be the real thing, it would not be the first time this kind of thing has been leaked this early but judge for yourselves on whether this is the real deal.

Despite my previous reservation about the current state of Modern military shooters I am genuinely excited to see what this iteration of Modern Warfare actually offers, and if it steps up, pushing the series and the genre forward because while Black Ops was a solid entry in the series it felt like more of the same rather than something new.

I’m interested to see what the online aspects will be, as some information has leaked out about a possible ‘Elite’ network, sort of a hub system. Now what could this entail exactly? First thing, that comes to mind is some sort of pay in scheme possibly to customize characters with a built in shop system, and maybe something similar to what Bungie offers with Halo Reach, having a site with profiles and stats and such. The reason why I mention pay in is that Activision has made it clear in the past they would like to earn more from the online aspects of these games.

Something I wouldn’t mind seeing is the introduction of a multiplayer map pass where you pay a one off fee for all of the future dlc of the game. A few other games have used this and the incentive is usually buy the pass to get it all cheaper rather than buying it all separately.

This is all speculation though but overall if this is anywhere near the truth it should be interesting to see what the full picture looks like and I hope we see the full picture come June 7th at E3.

Let me know what you think, is this legit? and do you want to see from Modern Warfare 3?
