The Darkness 2 Teaser

Darkness Returns Oct 4th

A new teaser trailer has hit for the Darkness 2 which really doesn’t give much indication on the game or what direction it will be taking, it is basically a few glimpses at some of the events that went down in the first game. There are some things that can be taken from teaser like the tone of the first game is still intact as well as Kirk Acevedo reprising his role as Jackie Estacado. Ok scratch that about the voice actor returning Jackie will infact be voiced by Nolan North and as far as I'm concered from the teaser I thought it was the original actor without a doubt. With that in mind I have no problem with his contribution to the game.

The game is set for an October 4th release in the US and the 7th in Europe, missing out on the holiday releases which I see as a good things considering we may see another Call of Duty this year and we all know genrates monster sales in the holiday season.

I’m still disappointed Starbreeze won’t be heading up the sequel because they created such and phenomenal package with the first game, handing it over to a new studio there is the chance some things that made the first game great will be lost in the transition.

Even with the developer change they seem to be staying true to the original but saying that it is far too early to tell without seeing the game in action. With E3 right around the corner it will be interesting to see what they showcase over at the event.

Below are two screenshots which show the switch up in art style for the sequel which blends the comic book aesthetics with realistic visual which creates a nice combination but I’m I prefer the visual style of the first game.
